As the name suggests, the elegant hotel overlooks Hyde Park, once Henry VIII’s private hunting ground and now one of London’s most famous features. The Serpentine, Rotten Row and Speakers’ Corner have been its defining landmarks since the 18th Century; and more recently it has been graced by the addition of the memorial to Diana, Princess of Wales.
