The Old Palace has been a centre of hospitality for over 1,000 years. Bishops and Deans have been entertained here for hundreds of years and now the beautiful building is also available for your wedding reception.
The building, which dates from the 11th century, is one of the city's best kept secrets and is a historic wedding reception venue. The magnificent rooms are full of character and history. The fabulous river frontage gardens are an ideal setting for a champagne reception and the perfect wedding photos; all yours exclusively for the day. The Old Palace is just off Worcester High Street, making it an easy walk back to hotels, or public transport.
The venue has an impressive entrance hall with a statement staircase for reception drinks as well as the ‘Abbot's Kitchen' which can be used as a separate reception area.
The Great Hall can seat up to 80 people for dinner, or cater for up to 140 for a buffet, using an adjoining room.
The gorgeous gardens are picturesque, sweeping down to the River Severn with the magnificent Cathedral as backdrop. Some parking is available at the front of the building.

The Abbotts Kitchen is a historic meeting space on the lower ground floor of the Old Palace. It has the capacity for 100 standing or 80 seated (theatre style). This large vaulted chamber to the undercroft of the Great Hall.
