The Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees appointed for a term of 3 years. We do have vacancies for specific skills. If you would be interested in applying to become a Trustee please contact us.
Learning
RGHT has a full time Learning Officer, and helping people learn about our heritage is key to our work. We are developing our programme all the time but a typical programme consists of :
Sessions for schools and other learners, such as colleges, universities, and other community groups
Guided tours and walks
Printed material and on line content
Our Project Work
We will be working on a number of projects over the coming months and years, many of them supported by grants from external funders such as Heritage Lottery Fund, Armed Forces Community Covenant and Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Our work currently focuses on the Great War. Following two successful grant applications we have researched the names on war memorials across the borough. We will be developing this work in 2015 as we explore the role of women on the Home Front at Charlton House, Progress Estate, Eltham and, of course, on the Woolwich Arsenal.
We will be recruiting volunteers for this project work in the coming months. If you are interested in developing heritage skills or just meeting some new people, please contact us.
WEDDINGS
One of the finest examples of Jacobean domestic architecture in the country, Charlton House, steeped in 400 years of history, provides the perfect backdrop for your big day.
Nestling in acres of beautiful parkland, Charlton House, built during the reign of James I, has a long history of intrigue and romance.
Our beautiful wedding halls and reception areas are rich in period detail featuring original fireplaces, wood panelling and intricate strapwork ceilings.
The lovingly restored walled gardens provide a peaceful retreat for your guests and a tranquil backdrop for your photographs, and the Peace Garden is the perfect place to celebrate with a glass of champagne on a summer’s afternoon.
Completing the package, our expert caterers, Relish, can deliver anything from the simple sophistication of a chilled glass of Chablis to a lavish five course silver service dinner.

Generate more enquiries for your Venue
Upgraded Venues get on average 15 times more enquiries than un-adopted / unverified Venues.
Upgraded Venues can promote their offers and events, and these will appear on our homepage and on every search results page, being seen by over 100,000 visitors every month.
Our upgrades allow you to increase the visibility of your Venue within our website and to promote your Venues special offers and events. You also get the chance to place a number of adverts (maybe on behalf of any preferred suppliers you have and keep any income you can raise) thereby offsetting the cost of the upgrade and maybe even making a profit.
To see an example of both a Highlighted Venue and a Featured Venue please Click Here.
There are two levels of upgrade available to see the features of both, please login to your Venues Admin page and select the Upgrades Tab - The number of Highlighted upgrades will be limited to about 3 per county with a few more in major cities.
