Mycenae House is an historic building within the grounds of beautiful public gardens in the Blackheath Westcombe Ward in South East London. The House has 23 flexible spaces available for community, private and commercial use including it’s own atmospheric Main Hall and Cafe/Bar

Vanbrugh Community Association has managed Mycenae House under contract (and with financial support) from the Royal Borough of Greenwich since 1994. VCA has a Management Committee which is made up of up to 12 elected representatives from it’s group and individual members.

Elections to the Management Committee take place at the Annual General Meeting, which is held in November each year.

HIRING SPACE

Mycenae House has 16 available spaces of varying size from the 120 capacity Main Hall to the small rooms which are available for hire by the hour, by the day or for longer periods. As a Community Centre we offer membership and discounts for community and charitable groups.

This beautiful but versatile period ballroom overlooks a tranquil public garden and is suitable for a wide range of events. It is used regularly for wedding receptions, family parties, conferences, acoustic concerts, dancing, presentations, craft fairs, Martial Arts, displays, cinema and large meetings.

This useful and flexible small hall is ideal for large workshops, children’s parties, dance classes, small performances and large meetings.
