Troxy is an award-winning (Event Awards and Eventia Awards) Grade II listed venue which originally started life as a grand cinema opening in 1933 and is now a multifaceted event space, ideal for award ceremonies through to conferences, immersive cinema, film and TV sets, live music, comedy and indoor sports.

The main event space is the stunning Grand Hall which features the original art deco furnishings, 1050m² of uninterrupted floor space on the Ground Floor and the Circle above with over 800 fixed seats, each with a bird’s eye view of the action. It is the only venue to feature a secret second stage, which is often used for dramatic grand reveals or extra band space. For VIP gatherings and after parties, the Whiteroom accommodates 150 for a standing reception with their own personal bar.

The venue is also home to Europe’s largest Wurlitzer theatre pipe organ which was restored last year following a seven year restoration project undertaken by the Cinema Organ Society who raised over £300,000 to fund the work. This plays the real sounds of a complete full orchestra featuring over 1728 pipes ranging from 16 ft to 1 inch housed in four separate rooms, four keyboards, one pedal board and 241 stop keys.
Behind the scenes are nine dressing and production rooms, a large production kitchen, step free access for load in and extensive sound, light and AV equipment. The exterior of the building has been lovingly restored to replicate the original look, with architectural lighting to wash the facia in the colour of the visiting brand or event.
