An exciting £1.7million project starting October 2014 will tranform the visitor experience at Eltham Palace. Renovations and improvements include a brand new visitor centre, shop and café in the former glasshouses, five new rooms unveiled to the public for the first time, including a luxury bomb shelter and billiard room housed in the basement, and a brand new multimedia tour to help visitors and families guide themselves around the house. These renovations will bring alive the glamorous atmosphere of the 1930s and give adults and families more to see and do inside, including games and opportunities for dressing up. During this time there will be building works and scaffolding at Eltham Palace, ready for the launch of the new facilities in spring 2015.
