Selsey Town Hall description

The Town Hall complex is at 55 High Street, Selsey and comprises three halls for hire. All halls are fully accessible.
The Town Council offices are situated within the complex.
Weddings can now be held in the Council Chamber.
Large Hall
The Large Hall is situated at the front of the building and has access on to the High Street. It has the capacity for 85 to be seated at tables or 150 in a seated audience. Facilities include a hearing loop and PA system, chairs, large tables, card tables and screens. There is a podium at one end of the hall to which a portable stage can be attached. It has access to the kitchen through which you can access the garden. Events include coffee mornings, bazaars, craft shows, presentations, demonstrations, drama productions, sing-alongs, concerts, AGMs, wrestling, play group, youth drop-in and many more. Council Chamber
The Council Chamber has the capacity to seat 40 at tables and 60 in an audience style. It has direct access into the garden and into the kitchen. Furniture includes 7 conference tables and 40 conference chairs. This is used for Council meetings and other events include meetings, training sessions, surgeries, dinner parties and social events. The Chamber is now licensed for Civil Weddings and Civil Partnership Ceremonies (please see downloadable leaflet to the right of this page)
Exhibition Hall
The Exhibition Hall has no windows so that it can be fully used as an exhibition area. It has a picture hanging rail and spotlight system. As well as exhibitions and demonstrations this is used for keep fit classes and dancing.
Kitchen
This is accessible from both the Large Hall and the Council Chamber. It is not a commercial kitchen but has an electric cooker, fridge/freezer and instant water boiler. There are 100 place settings of crockery (large plates, small plates, bowls, cups and saucers). It has direct access into the garden.
Equipment
Equipment available includes screen, OHP, flipchart stand, projector and PA system. There are different style tables and chairs to suit the occasion. There is a portable stage which can be used in the Large Hall or Exhibition Hall.
