Cisswood House is one of England's most established and well recognised country house hotels, built in 1928 for the then Chairman of Harrods and his wife Cissily. Located in the Sussex countryside close to the historic market town of Horsham, and a short distance from both the seaside city of Brighton and London Gatwick airport.

An independently operated hotel with 51 both traditional and contemporary modern rooms. The Hotel has recently been extensively refurbished to provide a high standard of accommodation and facilities. Whether you require one-to-one training, conferences for up to 200 people or a corporate event day, you'll find our conference facilities are carefully designed and individually tailored to meet your every business requirement.

Smaller groups can be comfortably accommodated in the delightful Willow Room or the Library, which both overlook the gardens. An ideal setting for private family celebrations, boardroom meetings and small conferences.

We recognise that no two events are the same, but the dedication and commitment of our experienced staff will ensure you won't have to worry about a thing as we help you plan your event right down to the very last detail.

Although we have a range of rooms full of character, each suite has the following features:

Before you arrive, all equipment in the room is checked with each room set up and available 30 minutes before your meeting or event.

When you arrive at the hotel, your dedicated member of staff will meet you to run through all the details. They'll confirm what's been booked and organise any last minute changes or additional requirements.

WEDDINGS

Cisswood House caters for both intimate and formal receptions, with our friendly and professional staff on hand throughout your day to ensure you and your guests enjoy a truly special occasion. The hotel is licensed to hold civil marriage ceremonies both within the hotel and outside in our stunning garden, and has a number of rooms available to suit your individual wedding requirements.

The Courtyard Suite is an exclusive banqueting suite, which comfortably seats 130 guests for a wedding breakfast, and up to 200 for an evening function. The bar and lounge area provides an alternative setting for your reception drinks and offers a retreat when the band or disco start to play during the evening. The buffet can be served in the Ash suite which is included when hire of the Courtyard is taken. The Courtyard Suite also includes a private fully stocked bar.

Our unique landscaped gardens provide the ideal photo setting for Brides & Grooms. The hotel also has luxurious suites, which provide the perfect end to your wedding day, or the start of your honeymoon.
