The venue is renowned for its thick oak beams - criss-crossing the ceilings, stone flagged floors and open fires in the winter time. Our cosy Bar and Lounges make an enchanting place to stop and unwind. The Inn offers guests complimentary Wi-Fi and free guest car parking.
Set in such pretty village, weddings go hand in hand with The Star. The traditional character and charm of the Inn, make an idyllic and romantic setting for such a memorable occasion.
Walking is a way of life in Alfriston and The Star makes a popular Inn to begin or end a journey. The famous South Downs Way passes by the front of the hotel. We can cater for any sized group including coach parties.

We have three fully equipped function rooms that can be used for meetings from 5 to 85 people. With 37 well-appointed ensuite bedrooms, an AA rosette restaurant, bar and lounges, a 35 space car park on site and free Wi-FI throughout the hotel.

We will serve you award-winning cuisine and our attentive staff will be on hand to ensure your day runs smoothly, your guests are satisfied and you receive that special day you deserve.
At The Star we offer a personalised wedding service ensuring your wedding will be the only one taking place on that day. Our Wedding Coordinator is available to help you plan the day, prior to your wedding taking place and to ensure the smooth running on the day itself.
We offer a tailor made wedding service and range of packages to meet your individual needs and to suit a variety of budgets.

The Heritage Room - Caters for up to 26 people for your wedding breakfast and up to 60 people for a wedding ceremony.
