Opened for Jubilee weekend June 2012,The Lamb Inn Wartling is an historical
pub near Herstmonceux Castle. The chef, Nelson Prudencio, was trained at the Hydro Hotel , Eastbourne, which maintains a classic French sectioned kitchen. He and his young staff work use local, seasonal ingredients, especially fish from the South coast and the meat being from the local butcher/farmer, Ben LLewellyn in Horam.
Antique director, James Braxton of Dreweatts Bloomsbury, and his wife Joanna, along with their son Charlie bought The Lamb Inn, Wartling in May 2012 and with the help of Peter Hoare Ltd. transformed the pub and dining areas, with verbal advise from Bunny Guiness for the courtyard garden.
Roy Ackermann has given invaluable help and advise which we are extremely grateful for.
