Hendall, which opened its doors in late 2011, is a beautiful and discreetly located private venue suitable for a wide range of uses and events.

We have now hosted numerous wedding receptions in our large and historic Stone Barn, as well as conferences, business meetings, charity events and many anniversary/birthday celebrations.

Together with our well-equipped Studio/Conference Room and Caterer’s Kitchen, Hendall has provided perfect space for creative, artistic and culinary courses as well as workshops and demonstrations.

The space we offer is ideal for locally run courses, or larger more corporate exhibitions.

After-Renovation

The buildings are very special and surround a large south facing terrace and lawn providing a superb backdrop and layout for both intimate family gatherings and corporate entertaining. An adjacent and very special 17th century barn also offers generous and beautiful self-catering accommodation.

ACCOMMODATION

This 17th century sandstone barn is a very special building with mullioned windows and medieval timbers. Since 2007, we have being letting The Barn on a holiday/short-stay basis to a wide variety of guests, including many overseas visitors.

There are three large principal rooms – a first floor sitting room with a vaulted roof and lovely southerly views, a ground floor games room with snooker table, and a studio room with table tennis and fully glazed roof. The studio is ideal for artists and muddy dogs! The two large bedrooms (one double bed and one twin/triple) have en suite bathrooms. The dining room comfortably seats 6-8.

Ideal Bridal Accommodation

We have many bookings from brides and their families, for both before and after their wedding celebrations. This is an ideal venue, whether it is for a civil wedding ceremony in our stone barn or elsewhere.

The bride and bridesmaids can prepare for the wedding beforehand and then later the happy couple can enjoy their wedding celebrations, retiring afterwards to this beautiful barn for their first married night together.
