Tudor dynasty ruled England and Wales from 1485 to 1603 and had two of the most celebrated monarchs ever to reign : Henry VIII and his daughter, Elizabeth I.
The first Tudor king, Henry VII, took the throne after the Battle of Bosworth Field, which ended the Wars of the Roses. He was followed by his son, Henry VIII, who became famous for marrying six times – and beheading two of his wives.
Selly Manor is a dream setting for a small wedding or partnership ceremony.
The guests congregate in the magnificent 12th century cruck-framed medieval hall house, Minworth Greaves. Entrance is via the heavy oak door into the main hall, and the ceremony takes place in front of the 17th century oak table.
Minworth Greaves can seat up to 40 guests for civil ceremonies and the Tudor garden provides a perfect backdrop for the photographs of the day.
