Smallfield Place is a Grade II *listed Jacobean Manor House surrounded by beautiful formal grounds. It is set in a secluded rural location but, as it is only a fifteen minute drive from Gatwick Airport, it is easily accessible to London and the South East as well as to international visitors. It is offered to guests on an exclusive use basis, making it ideal for special events, anniversaries and family reunions.

The house comprises seven large bedrooms, all of which are en-suite. Three of the largest rooms can easily be used as family rooms. On the ground floor there are three large reception rooms, two sitting rooms, two kitchens, and a very attractive dining room. In summary, the house is fully equipped to make it the ideal place to host an event or have a relaxing time with family and friends.

WEDDINGS

One of the great attractions of coming to Smallfield Place is that it is only offered on an “exclusive use" basis, so that you and your guests can enjoy a completely private event, tailored to your own specific needs and requirements. We hold only a limited number of weddings each year which enables our team to offer the best personal service and allows for an unrushed event. Family and friends can extend the celebration at the house before and after the main event if they so wish.

The grand interior of this Jacobean manor house is a wonderful place to hold an intimate wedding celebration all year round with its beautiful oak panelling and large open fireplaces. The house is also set within stunning formal gardens and terraces which offer you plentiful choices for those all important photographs. The house comfortably accommodates 60 seated guests.

The house has seven double/twin en-suite bedrooms for guests, including a sumptuous bridal suite and can comfortably accommodate 60 guests in our Crullings Function room. Its location near to Gatwick Airport means that there are numerous hotels and guest houses nearby to accommodate additional guests and excellent rail and road links make it very accessible from London and the surrounding area.

"Celebrating our wedding day at Smallfield was incredible - the house and grounds are absolutely spectacular and are the perfect space for a celebration. All of our guests (and our florist and photographer too!) commented on how amazing Smallfield is. The house is fantastic - the decor is wonderfully traditional and steeped in history and the rooms flow beautifully for a reception. The gardens are staggering - and there are so many unique photo opportunities! One of the most brilliant things about Smallfield is that there are so many special little spots (either for photos or for a quiet moment alone) - be it the spectacular fireplaces, the seven fountain pond or the bridge over the pond. Unlike large stately homes, Smallfield feels like a home and feels so much more welcoming as a result.
