We've had websites for our other pubs, but this one for The Parrot seemed a little more difficult – not because we've less to say – in fact we've got more to say – but because The Parrot is our first venture outside London for 30 years. We have allowed the pub to evolve whilst getting to know the pub and our customers.

We needed some inspiration – so we sat down with some friends and had a few drinks, and then a few more, and came up with our own interpretation of Maslow's Triangle – you know – one of those things someone has heard of – but becomes slightly muddled with intoxication.

FUNCTIONS&WEDDINGS

The Parrot is a beautifully English 17th Century oak-beamed country pub, nestled between Leith Hill and Holmbury Hill, overlooking the village green and is a superb setting for any celebration in Surrey.

The Gosterwood room, hidden behind the pub is a bright & airy room which is available for hire. It has a wide conservatory leading onto a patio & beautiful private gardens, and has its own bar. The Gosterwood Room will hold up to 100 guests for a seated meal and 180 for a more informal party. It can be made more intimate for smaller gatherings, so small or large parties are welcomed. We host a huge variety of events; weddings; parties; society dinners; conferences and get togethers.

The team at The Parrot is passionate about food and use locally sourced and seasonal produce whenever possible. We carry a comprehensive wine list and have a very good reputation for our real ales.

As a family we have been running pubs and catering/organising events for 30 years but took The Parrot 7 years ago. We are very proud of the awards we have won in this time, particularly with regard to our food. We farm 500 acres of the Surrey Hills and supply The Parrot & our farm shop with our own traditional rare breed meat. We use non intensive farming methods, hang our meat to ensure amazing flavour and employ a full time butcher and skilled chefs to finish the meat in the best way. We produce nearly everything on site from bacon to bread and pies to pickles. We also source from other likeminded local suppliers. We are therefore completely flexible with regard to menus.

WEDDINGS
From first viewing to the day itself will be fun, stress free and to your personal style. Not only can we offer true professionalism with years of experience but a flexibility that can ensure you have exactly the day you want. We can offer relaxed country pub wedding venue or something akin to the pomp and ceremony of Westminster Abbey!

The conservatory is licensed for civil ceremonies and can accommodate up to 50 guests.
