Tucked away in the forests and heath lands of Suffolk’s Heritage Coast lies one of East Anglia’s best kept secrets, an extraordinary and fantastic building called Butley Priory.

Originally an Augustinian Monastery (dating back to 1171) it now provides an incomparably atmospheric Wedding Venue, with superbly comfortable accommodation for 16.

Butley Priory is a privately owned family house, which means that the house and grounds are available on an exclusive use basis, giving you complete privacy and the feeling of being ‘at home’. The building has a fascinating history and there is no doubt that an air of serenity and peace from another age remains.
