Oakley Hall - Market Drayton
Oakley Hall - Oakley Hall
Oakley Hall description
Commercial Venue
Medium (1-150)
Weddings
Set in 100 acres of rolling parkland, the Hall commands superb views over the surrounding countryside and gardens.
Oakley is rich in historical associations. St Mary's Church at Mucklestone, in which parish the Hall stands, was erected in the 13th Century and it was from the tower of this church that Queen Margaret of Anjou observed the Battle of Blore Heath in 1459. This was a brilliant victory for the Yorkist faction in the Wars of the Roses and the blacksmith at Mucklestone was reputed to have shod the Queen's horse back to front in order to disguise her escape.
The Fisher family have enjoyed hosting weddings and special events for over 25 years. Available all year round for exclusive use, Oakley is an idyllic setting for civil ceremonies and partnerships, naming ceremonies, renewal of vows and other celebrations. Rather than imposing a standard package, we work with you to express your individual preferences and ideas, so that each event is truly unique.
We can accommodate up to 100 people for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts, as well as smaller, more intimate events. For larger groups there is the option of a marquee adjacent to the Hall.
