arnsdale Lodge Hotel has been in Thomas Noel's family since 1760 and formed part of the adjoining Exton Park, seat of the Earls of Gainsborough..
Formerly a farmhouse, Barnsdale Lodge was converted by Thomas in 1989. The Hotel is positioned on the North shore of Rutland Water in the heart of the beautiful, unspoilt, county of Rutland, just a few minutes from the historic towns of Oakham, Oundle, Uppingham and Stamford.
Barnsdale Lodge is lovingly managed by Ed Burrows (Managing Director) and Paul Freeman (General Manager), outstanding stars of their trade. Thomas splits his time between Norfolk , Rutland and London where his interests have included a Club in Mayfair with Robin Birley and a directorship of Bride Hall Group.
Barnsdale is comfortable, welcoming, and for the quality of the public rooms and the assiduousness of the service, the rooms rates are a really good deal. If you want to explore the delights of Rutland Water and surroundings, Barnsdale Lodge is, without hesitation, the place you should stay." Fiona Duncan ,The Telegraph's Hotel Guru
