Sussex Barn lies deep in the heart of the countryside of North West Norfolk, close to the sea, just outside the village of Burnham Market. Built in the eighteenth century out of brick and flint, this barn originally had a thatched roof. Once owned by a farming family with a large Elizabethan Manor, the Barn now stands alone from other farming buildings. Completely modernized at the turn of the century, and completely wheel chair accessible, this barn offers all the modern amenities of any wedding venue.

The alcoves, once used to house livestock, are still intact, and an integral part of the venue. The arched brick doorways, with large wooden doors, present picture perfect wedding photograph opportunities, and the 120 foot well inside the bar area makes this a truly unique feature for any barn wedding venue.

Sussex Barn is licensed for both civil weddings and civil partnerships, so couples are assured that their wedding will be legally recognized. It also has a liquor license; and a fully functioning bar, complete with staff and a wedding co-ordination Manager, are available for any wedding or wedding reception.

Why choose Sussex Barn for a Wedding Reception? - A barn wedding reception venue is a truly memorable experience for any married couple, their friends and family. For those couples who prefer to have a Church wedding, they are still able to host their reception at Sussex Barn. The beautiful country grounds surrounding the barn offer endless photography possibilities and ample parking can accommodate a large wedding party.

The facility can accommodate a small wedding reception party as easily as a larger party as it can easily be partitioned off to keep it cozy. The wedding couple are free to bring in caterers of their own choice as well as music (the acoustics in the barn are amazing), florists, photographers etc., or the Manager can advise on suppliers or organize them for the couple.

The dance floor can be altered in size to accommodate the number of guests from a small function up to three hundred guests.

Stay close by for your Honeymoon –

There are holiday cottages within walking distance of the barn that accommodate guests or can be used by the wedding party. The use of these is optional but some couples even choose to spend their honeymoon in one of these charming cottages, in the beautiful countryside of Norfolk.

CONFERENCES

Sussex Barn is more than just a meeting room or conference centre, it is a complete venue, offering a bespoke service for your event in a relaxed and beautiful building full of rustic charm.

At Sussex Barn we are delighted to cater for a range of corporate, charity or private functions. Our flexible space makes us suitable for everything from small meetings to larger conferences of around three to four hundred delegates. We can host meetings, seminars, training courses, product launches, team-building events, and conferences.

Set amid the gorgeous north Norfolk countryside close to the coast, we have everything that you need to help your delegates to get away from it all and focus on your event. Just five minutes from Burnham Market, 40 minutes from Kings Lynn and around an hour from Norwich, we have ample free parking and are completely disabled accessible. Should you require any overnight accommodation, we have some holiday cottages available to rent just a short walk away, or we can recommend accommodation in Burnham Market.

On first contact, our friendly and professional manager will discuss your requirements with you, and talk you through the different options to meet them. This might include:

- Room layout - We have a large and flexible space which can be configured in a variety of ways to suit your needs, including a large room, smaller break out areas, space for refreshments and buffet, training areas, or a reception area.
- Facilities - We can offer pitchers of iced water and glasses, and pads of paper and pens. If there's anything else that you might require, such as flip charts and marker pens, a data projector and screen, just ask - if we can help, then we will.
- Extras - We can offer access to telephone, photocopying, printing and e-mail at a small extra charge. We have a licensed bar available at the venue, please let us know if you would require use of this facility.
- Catering - We have a fully fitted professional catering kitchen available. Tell us what you are looking for, and your budget, and we can arrange it with one of our local catering contacts. Equally, if you prefer to cater for yourselves, you have free access to the kitchen.

Our manager will continue to work closely with you throughout the planning process to ensure that you have everything that you might need.

Sussex Barn is exclusively yours for the duration of your event, and our manager will be on hand to ensure that your event is running smoothly. The countryside around the venue is perfect for strolls or team-building activities. Inside there is plenty of natural light and the 18th Century building provides a calm and purposeful ambiance.
