If you want to make an impression on your big day, then look no further than the Guildhall’s fabulous Ballroom.
This impressive, versatile room has hosted many great occasions during its 145-year history and can be set up tosuit your needs, seating up to 120 guests for a civil ceremony and reception dinner and up to 180 for a party.
Catering
The Guildhall Coffee House offers a variety of platters – from wedding banquet buffets to finger food – and home-made cakes which are prepared on site from locally sourced produce.

The Newton Room is situated on the ground floor by the coffee shop. This room is ideal for small performances, parties, lectures, sales and meetings.
This room has also been used for art exhibitions in the past by students of Sarah Watson’s art classes at the Guildhall and Grantham College in partnership with LOV (Lincolnshire One Venues).

Using the Newton Room for Wedding Ceremonies
The Newton Room is licensed for ceremonies and can be transformed into a beautifully lit, contemporary space which lends itself perfectly to a more intimate ceremony.
If you choose to have your ceremony here, you and your guests can then move on to the ballroom for your reception and party.
This room has the capacity to hold up to 70 ceremony guests.
