The Guildhall, set in the historic Cathedral Quarter, has been a meeting place since around 1390. Set around an enchanting courtyard, it has the third oldest public library in the country, a Mayor's Parlour and an impressive Great Hall (once a courtroom). It has been used regularly for theatrical performances, banquets and civic events and is now a popular venue for weddings.
Individual rooms or more of the building can be hired for private functions or corporate events. You are welcome to arrange your own catering and there is no corkage charge.
