YMCA Isle of Wight has been providing school and groups trips in a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment at Winchester House in Shanklin since 2004. Each year, over 3,000 children, young people and adults stay in the spacious accommodation with sweeping views from some wings of the main house across Hope Bay on the south east coast of the island.
Winchester House sits firmly as a hub for children and young people on the Isle of Wight, providing a range of services including:
full board group accommodation centre for children, young people and adults
self catering Lodge for up to 24 guests
school holiday Daycamps for children in years R to 12.
a nursery and baby & toddler group in Shanklin as well as our nursery in Newport.
Young Carers Project, providing advice, support and respite to under 18 year old carers.
a counselling and psychology support service for children, young people and their families.
In addition, we also provide services for the wider Isle of Wight community including:
corporate groups, including room and conference hire
community hire for group events
weddings and special occasions
