The Sun is a traditional coaching inn which has been an important landmark of historic Hitchin since the 1500's. Recently extensively refurbished, today’s hotel features 32 comfortable en-suite bedrooms including two feature rooms, one with a four-poster for those special occasions. An excellent menu is served in the newly refurbished restaurant, and the adjoining Cromwell’s Bar provides a lively atmosphere to enjoy an ale or a fine wine.

Please note that due to the hotel's location in the town centre, guests may experience some noise disturbance from the surrounding streets at the weekend.

Directions

Exit the A1(M) at J8 and take the A602 to Hitchin. At the first roundabout take the fourth exit and at the mini roundabout go straight over. Then take the second left, Biggin Lane, and follow the road past the market to enter The Sun car park at the rear of the hotel.
