The Priory Hotel sits peacefully in the Herefordshire Countryside set in three acres, yet only three miles north of the city centre.

This former rectory dates back to the mid 17th century with later Victorian additions, today it retains the feel of a private home where there’s time to relax and be waited on without fuss or hurry by friendly attentive staff.

Your Hotel Stay
With eight en-suite bedrooms combining classic elegance with sophisticated modern style, crisp bed linen and plump pillows all add to the feeling of comfort for your stay. Indulge yourself with an in-room treatments carried out in a relaxing environment by our local therapist, spend time out in the sheltered garden where you can sit on the terrace and soak up the sun or stroll down the lane picking up many of the footpaths to explore the beautiful countryside including the Wye Valley Walk that stretches the English / Welsh boarder. A place to meet, eat and relax!

A Fantastic Restaurant Experience
Our Hathway restaurant showcase’s the very best in British cuisine served uncomplicated with a focus on locally sourced produce where possible, flavour and freshness. Overlooking the terrace and gardens, with a long family lunch, relaxed supper with friends and a roaring log fire. Arrange a special birthday celebration, indulge yourself with our Vintage Afternoon Tea or simply a romantic dinner for two.

Our house bar is a good meeting place for pre dinner drinks with a select wine list, local cider and beer or a refreshing apple juice from one of the many local orchards in Herefordshire.

Our Bespoke package - where you pick and choose the options specifically for your day – one or two nights exclusive hire, a selection of menus and tailor-made drinks options – the price will reflect what you choose.
Exclusive use of the hotel provides you and your guests with complete privacy and the run of the house, offering fine food, luxurious accommodation and a day to remember.

Step out of the French doors on to the flag stone terrace for your reception drinks and enjoy the mature grounds with spacious lawns, surrounded by country lanes, a fantastic photo opportunity!

Your wedding in safe hands – Throughout the many months leading up to your wedding we are here to help you plan the day of your dreams.

Built on years of experience with an eye for meticulous attention to detail, thoughtful planning is key to the success of the most important day in your life. Our service is highly professional, yet warm & relaxed in a way that only a family run business can achieve.

We can accommodate from 20-80 guests for your wedding ceremony, reception drinks and wedding breakfast, with up to 120 total guests in the evening and for larger numbers we can arrange a marquee on the lawn.

From 2016 we will be changing the use of the function spaces at the hotel to offer a more intimate and relaxed wedding experience, accommodating up to 50 daytime guests with a total capacity of 80 for your evening reception, if required.
