Built in 1874 as a meeting place for the Independent Order of Rechabites (part of the Temperance Movement), the Village Hall was bought by village in 1978 to be used for the community. Over the years, it has been used by various community and commercial groups (e.g. dance classes, martial arts, play group), and is now mainly used by the badminton club, the WI the Wednesday Club and various Pilates & yoga classes. It also hosts tea dances, parties, receptions and events.

The Village Hall is managed by a small committee which obtains income from rent and fund-raising to pay the bills and maintain the fabric of the building. The committee is always looking to improve and develop the Hall. In recent years, the Hall has had a new boiler, curtains and dehumidifiers, supported by grants from Waste Recycling Environmental Limited (WREN) and Cheshire Community Action, with practical help from a team of volunteers from Jaguar Land Rover. The Village Hall is now part of JNCOT.

The Village Hall is available for hire. Facilities include equipment for table tennis and badminton, as well as tables, chairs, cutlery, china etc. The contents can also be hired for functions outside the Hall.
