Looking down West Street in the Historic Town of Alresford in Hampshire. The Swan Hotel is situated on the left hand side where for over two hundred and fifty years it has served the community well from the original horse drawn coaches running from London to Southampton to modern day travellers.
Sympathetic to its origins this Grade II listed building is the epitome of an 18th century Inn with a contemporary twist. Inside the atmosphere is one of relaxation and enjoyment. The Swan Hotel is situated next to the historic St. John Parish Church and therefore is ideal for wedding receptions. We also have ample free parking onsite.
The town of Alresford is right in the middle of Jane Austen country so for the literary a visit to Jane Austens house at Chawton is a must. The town itself has many historical features worth a visit - Old Alresford Pond, The Fulling Mill, St John Parish Church, The Watercress Line, The Millennium Walk, Broad Street with its wash of Georgian Coloured Buildings. There is certainly enough here to keep you busy.
