Built in the 16th century the hotel has been a private residence, a Bishop's house and a Benedictine convent - for the past 150 years it has been a hotel. The Winchester Royal Hotel is situated in the heart of this beautiful cathedral city but located in a quiet residential area, home of the Round Table and the great kings of England. The hotel was originally built in the 16th century as a private house, surrounded by Medieval and Georgian buildings and only a stone's throw from the city centre. With its beautiful walled “Secret Garden” and period feel, the hotel offers a range of packages for weddings or we can create a bespoke offering tailored to your specific requirements.
