Monkwood Hill is situated in a designated outstanding area of natural beauty in West Dorset. We
are conveniently close to Dorchester, Blandford and Sherborne in a quiet totally rural location with
8 acres, still only 40 minutes from Poole and Wimborne.

Monkwood Hill is an exclusive use venue and we offer flexible catering facilities. There is no corkage charge at Monkwood meaning you may provide your own beverages.

Monkwood offers flexibility for your event or wedding reception, the lawn adjacent to the farm house can accommodate a marquee for up to 140 guests and the barn is suitable for evening entertainment and smaller parties.

Monkwood allows hirers to camp (or Glamp) after their event in an adjoining field.

If you wish to have a wedding ceremony in the historic sixteenth century church of St Peter & St Paul
in the village of Mappowder it is just over half a mile away.

Monkwood boasts views across the rolling Dorset countryside and is surrounded in 6 acres of land... On a clear day you can see 30 – 40 miles in the direction of Shaftesbury to the north-east, Glastonbury to the north-west, Ball Hill to the south-west and Bulbarrow Hill linking on to the Dorset Gap to the south-east.
