Once home to Lord Bute, the Prime Minister of England from 1762-1763, parts of the Hotel used to be the original 18th century entrance lodges to Highcliffe Castle, built in his honour by his grandson, Lord Stuart D. Rothesay. These lodges have since been transformed into spacious modern suites, perfect for a romantic get away or special occasion.

Our dedicated and highly experienced wedding coordinator will help you make your special occasion as unique as you are; whether you want an intimate celebration for or a lavish affair. They will bring their enthusiasm, knowledge and ideas along with their little black book of reputed suppliers to make sure nothing is overlooked so that you can have the wedding you’ve always dreamed of.

We offer daytime celebrations from 40 to 105 guests and up to 150 for evening receptions and because we know how special your day is we guarantee that yours will be the only wedding reception hosted by us each day. For a truly memorable experience we also offer exclusive use of the Lord Bute for the entire day and night or whole weekend.

Great food and wine plays an immensely important part of any celebration and even more so at the Lord Bute. What makes us truly unique is that our chefs do not require any pre-ordering from your guests, they simply choose what they want from your personally designed menu.

Just a short walk away is the breathtaking Highcliffe Castle where you can have photographs taken in these magnificent public grounds and beaches.
