Originally built in 1776, as the 'Mansion House', we've lovingly refurbished the hotel to reflect its nautical past, while adding typical du Vin panache. To understand and bring your ideas to life (and make suggestions if needed) and then make it all come together on the big day - from arranging consultations with florists and hair stylists to designing the perfect menu and dressing the room.
Formal or informal, funky or traditional, we'll ensure the food and drink complement your wedding perfectly. What would you like? A five-course wedding breakfast, a casual and informal buffet, a completely bespoke dining menu and wine list specifically created for the occasion by our resident Chef and Sommelier?
The choice is yours, but whatever you decide, come the big day, we'll work diligently behind the scenes to make sure everything runs like clockwork.
PLANNING YOUR SPECIAL OCCASION
There are two private rooms for you to choose from: Port and Starboard. Port is our largest private dining room and is an elegantly finished room that retains many original features and benefits from natural daylight. Port can accommodate up to 32 people. Starboard is a slightly smaller room with unique decor, stunning original Georgian fireplace and two large sash windows with views out into the neighbouring church gardens allow the room to flood with natural daylight.
Ideal for more intimate weddings and celebrations seating up to 18 people. The Crow's Nest is a beautifully intimate space with comfortable chairs, soft lighting and a roaring fire. It accommodates up to 30 and is the perfect backdrop to pre-reception drinks and after party chill-outs.
Alternatively for larger weddings the Bistro can also be taken over and can accommodate ceremonies and wedding breakfasts for up to 90 guests. With French doors on to the large outdoor courtyard located to the rear of the hotel, the courtyard can be hired out exclusively for drinks receptions and alfresco dining, and provides the perfect backdrop for photo opportunities.

We have three packages - Simply du Vin, Celebrate du Vin and I du Vin, all of which offer the same exacting standards of service and quality, and include complimentary menu tasting for the Bride & Groom, room hire, silver cake knife, tea lights, place & menu cards and table plan. Then you can chose the variations on drinks included, style of food served and number of courses. It goes without saying you have a vast array of Champagnes and wines to choose from. We will of course, also tailor your day specifically to you, so no matter the request we will make your dream day come true at Hotel du Vin Poole.
