The building dates from the 1660s when it was three cottages. In the 1880s it was converted into a village school, with teachers’ accommodation upstairs. The school closed down in 1906. In the 1950s the building became the village hall. A flat roof extension was added. Further modernisation in 2005 increased the size of the kitchen and added oil fired central heating, and toilet facilities for disabled visitors. There is a small stage at one end of the hall.
The hall is available for hire during the daytime and in the evenings, with a capacity of 50 people with facilities for groups or parties.
