The Grosvenor Arms is newly refurbished, it is traditional yet stylish, relaxed yet ‘buzzy’, and open all day.
You are always welcome, for a drink in the bar, a cup of coffee in the conservatory, or a pizza from the wood oven. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and the cobbled courtyard is always available for an alfresco lunch or drink.
We have 16 comfortable rooms and private areas for dining or parties. Our first floor, double height Assembly Room is the largest room in Shaftesbury! As well as our Assembly Room we also have two smaller function rooms which are great for conferences.
The bar, deli and courtyard are open all day, and the restaurant from 12- 2.30pm and 6.30 to 9pm.
Drop in at any time to eat at our bar, enjoy brunch, or for a muffin or brownie in the conservatory. We serve great coffee and specialist loose leaf teas.
Our relaxed restaurant serves the finest ingredients, simply, but whenever possible, seasonal, local, wild and organic.
Take your choice to sit at either oak tables in the Conservatory, a relaxed zinc topped table in the deli or the most comfortable leather banquettes in the restaurant where you can enjoy our A La Carte menu or even a traditional pizza from our wood fired oven.

Located on the second floor, these spacious suites have an en suite bathroom with a TV, a roll-top bath and a separate shower. There are 2 suites available: one overlooks the courtyard and has its own balcony, the other one overlooks the High Street. An extra bed can be accommodated upon request, at a surcharge.
The Cranborne Chase is a very special room at The Grosvenor Arms usually used for special occasions. The very large and beautifully decorated room over looks the courtyard and has an exceptionally sixed en suit bathroom with walk in shower and roll top bath. Robes and slippers are in this room at all times.
