Castle Hill is an incredibly romantic Devon wedding venue. Holwell Temple sits within the grounds of the Castle Hill Estate and offers a private woodland setting. Approached by a long tree-lined drive and past the arch which looks back across to the 18th century Palladian Mansion. Holwell Temple has received awards for it's restoration and now provides a magical woodland setting for weddings or parties. This venue has to be seen to be believed.
Licenced for civil ceremonies, the Temple's ceremony capacity is for 55 guests, but with grounds around the Temple for a marquee up to 100 people can enjoy the after ceremony celebrations.

Holwell Temple is a single room venue with stunning pillared entrance, inside is beautifully rustic restored historical building, with exposed stone lit walls with fireplace (chimney sealed). Two huge double doors provide a stunning entrance and when opened provide the forest backdrop view. There is space for a marquee to increase capacity to 100 for the reception. Portable toilet hire is included and we work with Exmoor Luxury Loos who provide units designed for corporate and prestige events. There is water and power but generators must be hired for additional services.
