Fjell Event Tipis is run by me Pete Garner wife Sharon & son Thomas. We have a longstanding background in the hospitality sector. You can be assured of our experience and personal service at all times. Confident you’ll be dealing directly with a member of the Garner family from your initial enquiry to the day we pack away the last tipi pole.
As campers with a background in the hospitality sector establishing Fjell Event Tipis was a natural development of our personal interests and business experience.
That experience stretches back to 1986 when I first joined my parents in their then new business Lakeside Holiday Park. A business I helped develop securing a number of awards and raising to a 5 Star standard by 1999. This business continued until 2005 when the family decided to sell ‘Lakeside’ to the Caravan & Camping Club.
By 2005 Sharon and I had also established Burnside B&B as a successful 4 Star Silver Award B&B consistently highly ranked on Tripadvisor. Sharon continues to manage our B&B business while our eldest son Thomas joined me in the Tipi business after completing his Molecular Biology degree at Sheffield University. Our youngest son Harry, an Environmental Science student at Leeds University, works in the business as a Tipi rigger during his summer holidays.
