As the Lake District’s jewel in the crown, Sharrow Bay was the first ever ‘country house hotel’. When the hotel first opened its doors in 1949, the then-owners, Francis Coulson and Brian Sack, brought to life their vision of a hotel whose guests feel utterly at home... and so it has continued.
