Rampsbeck has welcomed guests as a Hotel since 1947 when the Grundy Family first opened her doors. From the word 'go', Rampsbeck was the best of Hotels, spoiling guests with the finest of decoration and luxury.
The building itself dates back to the 1700's and during its time as a Country House has had some distinguished owners, notably Francis Baring Atkinson of Baring Bank fame.
Latterly the House was extended, sadly the Minstrel Gallery (which is now the Entrance Hall and Waterside) was removed to create more space. The billiard room is now staff accommodation and the Dining Room has been extended to create the wonderful Lakeview room it is today.
Over the years the hotel has changed and developed but still remains privately owned and very proudly managed.
