We are delighted to announce that The Samling has been awarded a Michelin Star in the 2014 guide.

The Samling, set within its own 67 acres of land has eleven rooms and an outstanding restaurant with culinary delights to tantalise the taste buds. Guests can take their pick from a cosy room in the main house or one of the spacious outside cottage suites, with all but two rooms featuring stunning lake views. All of the rooms are startlingly different and everyone has their favourite!

The Samling is perfect for that spontaneous night away or to celebrate special occasions just for two or with family and friends! Guests can opt to take exclusive use of the hotel and enjoy the use of the house all to themselves for the weekend or choose to have a more private, relaxing time just for the night.

The extensive grounds and woodland are dotted with well-chosen contemporary works of art complementing the mood of each part of the garden. Use The Samling as your base to explore the stunning Lake District National Park, with spectacular scenery and breathtaking views around every corner.

The fine dining restaurant offers guests the chance to try to something different and really leaves a lasting memory. With fresh food, local ingredients and wines paired up to compliment perfectly, it’s the reason why Samling guests return so often.
