All bedrooms at Grove Court Hotel are individually furnished & decorated. Each room has en-suite facilities, remote digital TV, direct dial telephone, trouser press, & hair drier. All rooms are centrally heated and have complimentary tea and coffee tray.

Formerly the Old School House, built in 1907 & converted to a hotel by the Benn Family in 1987, now a family run country hotel. Located in the village of Cleator on the A5086 in the Western Lake District between Cockermouth and Egremont, next to St Mary's Catholic Church & Grotto. Ennerdale Water and the historic town of Whitehaven are just a short distance away.

The main entrance is the old girls entrance to the school and leads to the Lounge Bar with stylish servery, cosy elevated seating area and an additional area for parties of up to 20 people. Wine lovers will take delight in the good selection to be found on our wine menu.

Grove Court Hotels chefs take pride in presenting delicious food that gives us our excellent reputation. For more intimate dining, the Conservatory Restaurant offers the same high standards in food, drink & service and can also accommodate parties, wedding receptions, etc. of up to 40 people.

The main building rooms are all on one level with easy parking and access for disabled visitors, all corridors and doors are wheelchair friendly. Gardens to the front and side are laid to lawn with shrubs and mature trees with views of the fells.
