We at The Boathouse would like to offer our expert guidance to assist in organising your wedding reception and help to make your special day a truly memorable occasion. In choosing us for your wedding reception you will be assured of the finest service and facilities available. Our experienced wedding co-ordinator and skilled catering team will ensure that your individual requests are met. Overlooking the beautiful scenery of the River Avon and surrounding countryside, The Boathouse is a stunning setting for your special day. The perfect reception venue, The Boathouse is also approved, and Civil Ceremonies can be held at any time, day or evening. Ceremonies are held inside the building, but if you wish you could complete the legal formalities inside and have your own unique blessing along the banks of the river.

For smaller receptions we have our delightful conservatory, with beautiful riverside views and doors opening up on to the garden. This room can accommodate 32 people seated or 100 standing. Larger ceremonies can be held in our ground floor bar and restaurant area, which can accommodate up to 250 people seated and 400 standing.

At The Boathouse we have nine beautiful bedrooms, some with balconies overlooking the River Avon. All rooms are en suite and stylishly decorated. If you would like to block-book the rooms we can provide them at a discounted rate of £100 per room, including a full breakfast menu. The Bridal Suite will be complimentary. We are happy to give you a tour of the rooms (subject to availability) at your initial consultation.



Your Special Day

With the pressures of modern day life, we understand that planning a wedding can often become a monumental task, which ends of becoming truly overwhelming. That’s why, here at The Boathouse, we want to do our best to help you put your dreams into reality.

We will start by inviting you to The Boathouse for an informal consultation where we can show you around the venue, as well as discuss your ideas around budget, numbers, menus, drinks, entertainment and accommodation etc. We will fol ow this up with a costed list of options for your big day, which will help you make the best informed decision to create the best day imaginable.

Prior to meeting, we will send you an Event Enquiry form that will help us get a better understanding of what you are looking for. We can also hold Naming Ceremonies and Renewal of Vows Ceremonies.



Receptions

Boathouse conservatory afterOption One – The Conservatory

Suitable for parties of up to 40 seated guests or 50 for a buffet/BBQ reception.
Held in our light, bright and airy conservatory, with double doors leading directly onto our garden area. Room hire includes printed menus, place cards and table plan; complimentary Bridal Suite for the evening of the wedding; microphones for speeches, cake stand and knife. You are free to decorate as you wish; please consider rental of alternative tables and chairs/covers.


Option Two – Exclusive Rental of The Boathouse

Suitable for parties of up to 400 guests. Price would be on a minimum spend basis, and dependent on the day of the week and time of the year, and would be discussed at our initial consultation. Please consider the probable need for renting tables and chairs/covers. Eight bedrooms at a discounted rate would be made available, with the Bridal Suite complimentary. Our license would be extended to additional hours, subject to approval. Once hired, the entire venue including ground would be yours to decorate as you wish. We are happy to help with DJs, live bands etc.



Option Three – Garden Marquee

Suitable for 50-150 guests. Held in a hired marquee in the garden area adjacent to the beautiful River Avon. Space for up to 150 seated guests with a separate dance floor and DJ/band area. We work hand in hand with Bath Marquees for all of our hired marquees, which vary in price so we would need a close estimate of numbers before proceeding with a quotation. The marquee can be decorated as you choose; the quote would include flooring, chandeliers, dressing the walls and ceilings etc. It makes for a very neutral setting for you to create your own spectacular wonderland!
