The elegant ballroom, with magnificent ceiling dome and Victorian cornices has been loving brought back to life, along with the bars, wood panelled Oak room, and the splendid internal staircase with wrought iron balustrades. There are six bedrooms on the first floor, including a bridal suite, which have all been fitted with luxurious en suite bathrooms.
For decades, The Hobby Horse has been among the grandest buildings on Minehead's historic seafront, known for hosting the finest local events and we are proud to again make available this iconic building whether for a simple and delicious lunch overlooking the bay, or an unforgettable wedding reception which will be remembered forever.
WEDDINGS
Elegant and sophisticated, the Hobby Horse is the perfect wedding venue. Tailored to suit individual requirements, an intimate wedding breakfast for up to 30 seated guests can be held in the panelled Oak room, while larger groups of up to 200 seated guests can celebrate in style in the ballroom. Wedding guests can also take advantage of a dedicated garden and outside patio area, which has been newly landscaped.
Exuding luxury, the antique chandeliers, exquisite mirrors and beautiful soft furnishings compliment the high ceilings, plaster work and panelling throughout.
When it’s time to retire, guests can enjoy the en suite bedrooms whilst the newly-weds luxuriate in the stunning bridal suite featuring a super king size bed, a grand en suite bathroom with claw feet bath, large pan head shower and super soft luxurious bathrobes for ultimate comfort.
With the option of exclusive use of the ballroom, oak room and guestrooms for the day, as well as use of the Sailors Bar at the front, the Hobby Horse is the ultimate venue, to ensure your Wedding day will be remembered forever.
