We have a number of rooms licensed for your ceremony, including our exclusive Penthouse. Located at the top of the hotel, the Penthouse provides an intimate and personal location for your special moment which you can share with 18 special guests. The roof top garden provides magnificent views across Taunton and the surrounding countryside and is perfect for a celebratory drink once your vows are complete.

Our largest ceremony room is our grand Music Room, with high ceilings and space for up to 80 guests. If you’re looking to share the moment you exchange your vows with as many family and friends as possible, then this is for you.

Our beautiful private dining rooms add elegance and romance to your wedding breakfast. They are also perfect for evening receptions.

Whether you’re looking for a formal affair, or a casual get together, that’s fine by us. We won’t even be offended if you don’t want to spend the entire day with us!

You will have a dedicated Wedding co-ordinator from the day you book your wedding. They will assist with as much, or as little, of the day as you would like. They will recommend food and wine that would suit the occasion and even suggest great local hair stylists if required.

We understand that getting married is one of the most important things you’ll ever do, and like buying a house, you’ll have several family members who want to take a look before the big day, so we welcome you to pop in with them and take a look around. They may even want to come along to some of the meetings!

Located in Taunton town centre, we are just minutes from the M5 and a short walk from both the mainline train & coach stations.

A perfect venue for regional meetings, The Castle is just half an hour from the outskirts of Exeter and 45 minutes from Bristol by car. Both cities have international airports.

While many companies enjoy the Castle’s meeting facilities, corporate is not necessarily a word that you would associate with us. Each of our five private meeting rooms are individually decorated. They have a character of their own.

From our Penthouse with its stunning views across Taunton and the Quantock Hills to the magnificent Music room with its high ceilings and large windows. They provide a space in which people can learn, think for themselves and be inspired.

Our meeting rooms will be set up as requested by you, they will contain any equipment that you have ordered and all refreshments will be delivered in a timely manner.

Whether you’re running a networking event, presenting training sessions, organising seminars or holding board meetings, the friendly, organised staff at the Castle will make the organisation of your event straight forward, from the day of enquiry until you and your guests depart.

In addition to the meeting rooms, you’ll also find the food most pleasurable. We can cater to your requirements with a selections of light lunches, to sit down buffets and three course meals. Castle Bow Restaurant provides a great lunch time venue for larger groups.
