With the magnificent backdrop of the 15th century Barden Tower this is one of the most historic of Yorkshire civil wedding venues. Steeped in history and charm, this totally unique house is surrounded by some of the best landscape the Yorkshire Dales can offer.
The Venue
The Priests House is an ideal venue for a very special, private function or celebration. This could be a medieval banquet, wedding, funeral, birthday or anniversary. Whatever the occasion, you will enjoy the privacy, the intimate ambience, the excellent menu and the totally relaxed and friendly service.
Smaller events up to 30 can use the House itself but we can accommodate up to 70 in the recently renovated "old chapel" beneath the House perfect for receptions, music nights, medieval banquets etc. It is a quite stunning and historic venue venue.

We are not a hotel, but do have the Barden Bunk Barn on site, literally on the other side of the Tower.
The Barn can accommodate up to 24 in four bedrooms, two bedrooms of four and two bedrooms of eight. One of the rooms of four could become a bridal room.
Ideal for guests who have potentially travelled a long way and want to make a weekend of it, families and the younger contingent wanting to carry on the evening!

We are holding a wedding open day on Saturday 28th March 2020. All welcome, but nothing to stop you individually booking a viewing before then. Just drop us an email.
Functions

We are happy to undertake your special functions...or you can book onto one of ours! We are holding a Valentines Ball on 15th February and a Harry Potter night on 21st March.
