The Old Court, near Bath, is a family-run Grade II listed guesthouse, offering all the pluses of a bed and breakfast with many of the amenities of a hotel.
This imposing Gothic Victorian courthouse has been tastefully converted into a unique guesthouse with modern style and facilities complimenting the historic setting and is ideally located for exploring the region.

There is something for everyone within easy reach, historic Bath, great shopping in Bristol, the newly re-built pier at Weston super Mare, the magnificent Cheddar Gorge and caves and Bristol International Airport are all within easy reach.

Our recently renovated rooms offer all the modern conveniences yet retain original features throughout and range from the unique and quirky Jail Cells to the magnificent Judge's Master Suite complete with Jacuzzi bath and large walk-in shower we have rooms to suit all budgets.

Our secluded walled garden with its terrace, pond and waterfall are ideal for chilling out and soaking up the sun.

We are a perfect venue for weddings and we specialise in group functions with 2 fantastic function rooms which also enable us to host small conferences, and we also provide easy access to the internet through our complimentary WiFi connection.

We are conveniently located on the A37 and have plenty of free, off-street, parking.

WEDDINGS

Exclusively yours for the day, The Old Court is the perfect venue for the smaller, more intimate gathering of up to 80 people.

This magnificent courtroom reception offers a unique haven of tranquillity and elegance, with wonderful old wood and flagstone floors.

You will be reminded of Harry Potter when you enter this splendid high-vaulted ceiling Courtroom, the perfect setting for the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, why not move into the new adjoining room, connected via a first story glass bridge, for the wedding breakfast. This room later becomes the perfect disco / bar area leaving the baronial room for the more sedate. And of course it wouldn't be complete without close family and friends the next morning, enjoying our wonderful full English breakfast or American pancakes.

There are eight imaginatively restored en-suite bedrooms ranging from the Judge’s Master Suite with a diamond-shaped Jacuzzi for the Bride and Groom to converted jail cells for the mother-in-law!

Accommodation rates: 20% surcharge over normal B&B rates due to extra
services. Deposit of £300 due upon booking with the balance payable two
weeks prior to the event, excluding drink's charges to be settled on the day.

If you are looking for a fabulous venue for your conferences and meetings, then why not use our superbly fitted out HD conference room. This room features fabulous natural light and is equipped with the latest 42"High Definition screen and a surround sound audio system that can be configured to show live, Freeview, TV, DVD/BlueRay recordings or presentations from your laptop.

If you need overnight accommodation, we can offer our rooms at a 10% discount for your delegates.
