Set in a stunning 19th Century Grade 2 listed building, Hertford House Hotel has long been at the buzzing heart of market town Hertford.

The House Lounge showcases a host of monthly specially curated events and is also our private event space situated below the reception of Hertford House Hotel. Employing the talents of top London designers the Mint List (recommended by The Sunday Times and Elle Decorations)and architects, Mango (Milk & Honey and The Clubhouse in Chamonix). With stylist guild wallpaper, graphic print carpeting, neon signs and original antique furniture and artwork, reclaimed from as far afield as Denmark, creating a contemporary yet lived-in feel. The lounge can hold from 30 in our seated snug up to 147 guests. The lounge benefits from a fully integrated sound system for D.J’s to perform or for you to plug in your favourite playlist.

We also have 22 guestrooms. Hertford House Hotel provides contemporary, light and airy accommodation with bespoke interiors and luxury features.

Dreamy double-sprung beds, Egyptian cotton linen and over-sized duck and goose down duvets coupled with relaxing, simple and stylish décor ensure a sumptuous stay.

Our larger Superior rooms are set in the eaves of the building enjoying magnificent natural light and views across our historical county town.
