Do you need a community venue for a meeting or an event? Are you interested in enrolling on a new course, starting a new activity or looking for somewhere to volunteer?
Walkley Community Centre is an historic building which was given to the people of Walkley as a venue for social, leisure and education facilities. It has an interesting history, and today provides a home for many and various activities enjoyed by the people of Walkley and beyond. It is run by volunteers.

What would you do if somebody’s heart stopped?
Sheffield resident Isabelle Kidder is holding a one hour free CPR training session that covers how to recognise a cardiac arrest, how to perform CPR and how to use a defibrillator.
A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time – and 80% of out of hospital cardiac arrests happen in the home.
Every minute without CPR and defibrillation can reduce the chances of survival by up to 10 per cent. But the effective use of CPR and a defibrillator can more than double the chances of survival in some cases.

Walkley Community Centre is only available to the public thanks to our brilliant Trustees and our generous volunteers.
We would love some more volunteers to help the centre operate, opening and closing for hirers plus help with general upkeep is always welcome.
If you are interested or know someone who could be interested, please contact us on social media or at bookings@firstreet.org.uk
