Evergreen Hall
Awarded the HALLMARK certificate by the Leicestershire & Rutland Rural Community Council showing a quality standard for Village Halls
The Evergreen Hall is located in the centre of the village opposite The Countryman Pub. It has been used constantly as the Village Hall for the past 50 years and is a comfortable and clean place to host many different functions. It is used every day and currently we have 14 regular users. It has recently been refurbished to provide insulation to all outside walls to minimise energy costs and completely redecorated in the main areas. A new kitchen has also been installed.
There is a main hall which has a well curtained stage and dressing rooms to provide entertainment. There is also a small meeting room which also doubles as a visiting doctors for 2 surgeries located in Burbage and Broughton Astley. Dr Jones and Partners from Burbage visit at 11 am on Tuesdays and Dr Beckley and Partners from Broughton Astley at 12.30 pm on Thursdays.
There is a car park for approximately 8 cars and a ramp for the disabled. New toilet facilities provide facilities for the disabled.
The Hall committee comprises 20 ladies who also run the Evergreen Club which owns the hall. Fund raising is continually ongoing to provide up to date and modern facilities for the people of the village and the surrounding areas.
There are many regular groups which meet in the hall
Playschool, Mums and Tots, Yoga, Zumba, , Ballet, Parish Council, Environment Group, Road Traffic Action Group, Morris Dancing (winter) parties etc
We also hold social mornings - Bacon Buttie Mornings, Fairtrade Coffee Morning, Plant Sale and Village Produce Show - See Evergreen Club site for details

There are also occasional sales etc.
