WELCOME

We look to bring Jesus Christ into the hearts and minds of each and every household and organisation in our Parish through our way of life, our worship of God, our love for the community and by the grace and fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Find out more about All Saints Church below and discover some helpful ways to connect and belong.

Do join us at one of our Sunday Services. You will be made very welcome.

Make it a date!

Swearing-in our new

church wardens

This year all of our church wardens will be sworn-in by Bishop Stephen in a special evening service at the cathedral. Thursday June 13th. I need to check the time, but please put the date in your diaries.

 Saturday June 1st
Quiet Day at Temple Bruer, 10am to 3.00pm – book with Rev’d Lorna.

Christian Aid Week: Sunday May 12th to 19th

Meanwhile, surely one of the gifts of the Spirit is generosity. So please give generously this Christian Aid Week and help poeple like Aline set up the small business that will enable their family to thrive.
Use one of the red envelopes in church.
Aline speaks from her own experience: ‘With God’s help
Christian Aid – a better future . . .
you can overcome obstacles and be victorious. We have been through difficult times, but now we make plans for the future.’
You can still read more about Aline’s long and difficult journey out of extreme poverty in the Christian Aid Week’s daily devotional booklets – pick one up from your church.

D-Day Anniversary
This year sees the 80th anniversary of the D-D Landing. I don’t know if anything is planned for our villages, but I’m thinking that we might have a short ceremony at the village war memorial at Branston. What do you think?

Kidz Club
Branston’s Kidz Club is back in action after the Christmas holiday. They meet in Branston Church Hall on the 2nd and 4th Friday evening each month – from 6.00 to 7.15pm. Your children will be very welcome. Contact Judy on (01522) 822-620 for more information.

The Rev’d Canon Dr Simon Jones

New Dean of Lincoln announced

Bishop Stephen has confirmed that The Rev’d Canon Dr Simon Jones is the next Dean of Lincoln.

If you took part in our Holy Saturday Pilgrimage Walk to the Cathedral last year, you’ll remember that Simon was there to welcome us and then came to join us for tea and buns in the Chapter House. At the time he was Interim Dean, taking time out from his work as Chaplain of Merton College, Oxford.

Bishop Stephen writes: ‘I am delighted that the King has approved Simon’s nomination to be the next Dean of our great Cathedral. We look forward to gaining from his pastoral care and his passion for the Gospel. He brings a gift of apologetics which every cathedral needs. He also brings his scholarly and practical expertise as a liturgist.

He has already shown us his deep commitment to the sustainability and growth of the Cathedral’s welcome and out-reach. I thank God for his appointment.
