Royal Cornwall Museum offers one of the most memorable and historic venues in Cornwall. With multiple unique spaces to choose from, it will be an experience that will truly wow your guests. 

Located right in the middle of Truro and within walking distance of public transport links, the museum offers an accessible and inclusive venue for all sizes of events. 

Main Gallery 

A real show-stopping historic space, sitting at the heart of the museum. A spectacular staircase and balcony give this gallery the wow factor. 

Capacity: Standing 250 people; Theatre style 150 people; Carousel style 100 people 

PLEASE NOTE: There will be limited availability in the Main Gallery between September 2024 and March 2025 as we go through our transformation project within this space.  

Mineral Gallery 

A veritable treasure trove of an internationally renowned mineral collection, which showcases Cornwall’s exceptional geology. 

Capacity: Standing 50 people 

PLEASE NOTE: This space is currently being redeveloped as part of our transformation project. The Mineral Gallery will be reopening in July 2024.  

Art Gallery 

A light and contemporary space within a historic setting. The Art Gallery is a fully accessible space that can be used in a variety of ways for your event. 

Capacity: Standing 70 people; Seated 50 people 

Chapel Gallery 

A versatile and fully accessible space that houses a display of Cornish Art within a repurposed chapel. 

Capacity: Standing 70 people; Seated 50 people 

Meeting Rooms and Classrooms 

We have a small meeting room space available for meetings of up to 15 people, and a classroom space that is kitted out for activities including the use of clay, paint and print making.
