The Reading Room dates back to 1884 when it was used as a place for the reading of books and newspapers.  Today, it is a traditional village hall that is a valuable community resource.

Set in the rural village of Curdridge and run by a team of volunteer Trustees and two staff members who together make up the Curdridge Reading Room & Recreation Ground Charity - a registered charity in England & Wales.  Our charity number is 1153056.

Our three rooms provide great spaces that can be hired out for family celebrations such as birthdays, anniversary's, christenings, wedding receptions and more!  They also provide the perfect space to hold classes, workshops, meetings, team building days and public events.  Full details can be found on our hire page.

The possibilities really are endless!

As a charity, we hold a number of fundraising events throughout the year to raise funds to maintain the grounds and building as well as for improving the facilities such as the Play Area Regeneration Project.  More details of these events can be found here.

Please use this website to familiarise yourself with the facilities at the Curdridge Reading Room.  We hope that you will consider making a booking to meet your hire needs.
