A Prayer for Ukraine
God of peace and justice

we pray for the people of Ukraine today.
We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons.
We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them.
We pray for those with power over war or peace, for wisdom, discernment and compassion to guide their decisions.
Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them.
We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Amen

Prayer and Message from the Rector

Loving Father we pray that you will come to us. Through the gift of your Holy Spirit blow through our hearts and minds and fill us with your love and your grace. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.   AMEN.

Throughout Jesus’ ministry he travelled from place to place telling people the good news that the Kingdom of God had come near to them. Christ came to us because God loves us and this Sunday we are reminded that we are called to love God and also one another. Loving is not always easy for us because we find it difficult to love those that do not love us. We are also commanded to love those that are indifferent to us as well as those that hate us. We are called to be a people of love and the only way that we can truly and fully love, even those that hate us, is in the power of the Holy Spirit. We receive God’s love and forgiveness which we call “Grace” and we are called to let that love and forgiveness flow through us and into the people that we meet to help them meet with our loving God directly. As Christ travelled from place to place bringing the presence of God the Holy Spirit comes to us now. We don’t have to go anywhere special to meet with God, we just have to be willing to let the Holy Spirit into our lives. We have a loving God who continually comes to us and blesses us with His grace.              Blessings Richard
